Pics of teh 97, re-powdercoated wheels, and ready for track yay!
Car looks good
Its too low for track use though... especially up front - if you're not already on the bumpstops at ride hight, you will be very quickly. Jack it up, take the wheels off and drop it down with the LCA's on jackstands - so its at ride height.

and I'm running the GC top hats as well but I'll see how its going to be at the track. </TD></TR></TABLE>
Get it on stands. Seriously. I just went through the same mess and damn near stuffed the car in a concrete wall at road atlanta. I've got 700# front springs and the GC top hats and it was too low.
Raise it up 1/2-3/4" and cut the bumpstop to 3/4-1" long.

If you don't sand all the powdercoating off where your wheel meets the hub you will regret it BIGTIME. Brakeing under track conditions creats so much heat the podercoat will melt and cause your wheels lugs to come loose. Trust me, I know from personal experience.

Good call
A wire wheel on an cordless drill should do the trick.... also, get the paint off the lug seats too.

Yup, it happened to me. My lug nuts came loose while I was pulling off the highway. My steering wheel was vibrating/shaking. Scared the crap out of me. Good thing there was a tire shop near by.
Wheels look really nice btw. I need to fix up my wheels and powder coat them also.
