paint job?
I got an EXCELLENT paint job bodywork and all for 1225.00 in Oklahoma city. I went with a House of Kolor Candy Organic green with Ice Pearl flakes. It makes her look real pretty..but in any case. a good paintjob base/clear should run about $300-$600 if you want something simple.
Good paintjob for 300-600???? NO WAY
If you want a decent job it will be at least a grand and a good job is $2000.
Good consists of: Proper masking job (no earl scheib "paint my muffler" crap)Door jambs and "hidden" areas painted... high fill primer and sanding. Multiple basecoats and clearcoats (proper flex add. when needed)... Wet sanding/Color sanding and color buffing.
Dont go cheap, or it will look cheap... I made the mistake on my first car of getting a $450 job and i coulda done the same with krylon.
THE BEST job I have ever seen IN PERSON came out of Valencia Auto Body in California. They charge ~$3K but it is the same as factory and in any color. If you are rich go there and talk to Mel Mendoza. He's chill...
Save at least $1k and get something that will last and look smooth... not like an orange peel (pitted look)

Actually, the Krylon idea isn't all that bad if you want something decent. One of my friends down in Miami has spent years of his life spraypainting just about everything. He did a Krylon paint job complete with multiple base and clear coats on another friend's car and took home a local car show win.
I'll be doing the interior and engine bay (if not the exterior as well) on my recently purchased CX this way.
Either way, I got an excellent paint job on my Integra a couple of years ago for about $1500.

Thats true... but dont tell your average Joe that or he will have a sagging uneven dull paintjob, haha. Good painting takes a certain skill, which some may never be able to acquire (me...)
