clutch pedal wiring hareness? what is it called? need help asap, auto - manual conversion
Yo,
I need the clutch wiring harness. but cant seem to find them anywhere. dealer wants 300 for it.
its basically lets you start the car when u step on the clutch.
and it connects to the clutch pedal all the way to the transmission.
anyone know where i can find this?

Hmm, back when I did the conversions, I didn't remember any harness. There is only one wire that detects if the clutch is depressed (for the cruise/engine start) that I used.
The only thing from the clutch pedal area to the tranny are the hydro lines. That's what I remember. Do you know what the dealer called that part? I'm interested in knowing (since I didn't use it
) I may have increased Honda's efficiency by a few million dollars!

****, son. I'm doing a conversion right now on my new toy. Do you already have everythng ready to go, and the engine just won't start? As far as I know, (which isn't that far, but I'm not stupid, AND I have another car in my driveway that was converted to manual by someone else and i looked at it...) you dont need the cutch harness ****. you just leave the interlock(blue) box that is in there connected. AM I right? shamoo you know? I have an eg by the way.

i searched on here, and if you want to get around all that wiring ****, when you take off the shifter console, there are two harness plugs, the bigger one has two fat black wires; one of which is black, and the other is black with ared stripe. cut those two, and splice them together with solder, that will deactivate the need for a "clutch interlock switch" which is what makes you have to push the clutch in to start the car...
The only downside is, you can now start the car easily
hope i could help.

yeah, it connects to the clutch pedal and then to the tranny.
not sure if it connects to teh ignition. its either a 2 way or 3 way harness.</TD></TR></TABLE>
YOu could go to an electronics store and pick up a tone generator and tone out the wires that is what i have been doing for mine in my conversion and swap..
