HOW THE !@#$: pillar bar in 96 coupe
Its one of those ones that connect the b pillars via the seatbelt holes, isnt it? If so, brackets need to be welded in, since the coupes have their rear belts mounted differently.
that brace would basically have no purpose seeing as the coupe already has the brace going across the back of the rear seats... its the solid metal bar that holds the seat backs... at least that is what i have heard.. but if u find anything let me know... i love how the look

It is pointless to put it on a coupe.
It won't even look good.
the point of the bar is to brace the shell of a hatchback because it is not rigid at all.
it would just look like a bar going across the top of the back seat. passengers would probably hit their heads on it.
tell your friend to spend his money on something functional and practical.

Man, youve been told...
Not gonna happen because the belts are mounted differently than hatches. Plus, the rear brace is already there. Welding on some new brackets is the only way its gonna happen.
You can listen to me, the one who you called a "****** moron" before, and the rest of the people who posted, or you can just keep bumping this and get the same answers some more.

Don't get me wrong. I couldn't care less about looks. It's all about being functional.
Anyone that wants to add that bar to a coupe is probably a ricer. It will serve no purpose and will only add weight. maybe he's just trying to win that ever elusive car show trophy. I don't know and i don't care.
"Trial member". yeah, i forgot my password and screenname from back when i used to get on this site everyday. I just don't have the need to come to a bunch of 16-19 year olds for car advise.

It's quite simple actually. Look behind the paneling where the C-pillar "would/should" go. If there are bolts (mounting points) where the C-pillar "would/should" go then it's simple enough. You cut some holes in your paneling to allow the C-pillar to mount. Have I seen this on a 96-00 coupe? Never in my life. Good luck and let us know what you find.
Just an FYI, the rear deck goes from one side to the other side of the car and is meant to be a stabilizer. Any C-pillar that would or could install would just be redundent of whats already there. If you are truely going for looks. Glue gun a wooden dowl from one side of your car to the other and paint it silver
