Zenki lugnuts heads-up
Well, a couple of months ago I purchased a set of Zenki lugs from one of our sponsors.
I received them promptly and blah blah... I was happy.
Put them on the car, immediately noticed they're bit fragile. So be careful if you don't want to scratch the **** out of your brand new (expensive) lugs.
Result? really nice.

Nice and blingy. Loved them. They don't weigh anything either. I immediately noticed less vibration while driving. Lugs aparently throw the balance out of whack a bit.
Anyway... fast forward about a month...
Why did you buy pink wheel thingies? People started asking me...
I was not pleased.
About a month or 3 later... they look kinda like this:

The sun has bleached them, and on post parts the color is completely gone.
I did NOT use any sort of agressive solvent on them. They have been driven in the summer only, so have not seen sand, salt or other winter muck.
Let's just say I'm really dissapointed with the overall finish of these.
So...I painted them.

And the result:

They're not as shiney as they used to be... but atleast they're red again.
Next time, I'll go for polished lugs instead.
So be warned, if you're just going for the bling... you might want to consider another brand. Weight wise, I'm happy with them.

That paint is just gonna chip off from putting the lugs on/off and daily driving. I have a feeling you will be painting these often to keep up that finish.
Well..the wheels are painted too...so that shouldn't be too bad.
I will have to be careful putting them on... but I also had to do that with the flimsy anodised layer.

On my Volk nuts I put a tiny layer of plastic wrap around them before I go to take them on and off. It helps protect the finish from the scrapes it would get just from removing them all the time.
i had the same problem..i boguht a set of black zenki tuner lugs and within 2 week they were starting to turn gold already.. the gold acutally doesnt look too bad but i bought them black and they shouldnt be fading already
Same here. Faded quicker than Ruben Studdard. This is what I've learned.
Zenki = OLDER Kouki=NEWER. The person I bought it from is a cool guy though, nothing against him
