17" vs. 18" Rims.... Pics and Experiences please
So I cant decide weather I want to go 18" or 17" on an ap1. On my b16 powered hatch with no tourqe going from a 16" - 15" rim was a very noticeable difference in daily driving. The extra width of the tire helped in cornering, but the added weight hampered off the line acceleration.
So do you guys with 18's notice a difference going from stock 16" or 17"?
Post pics of 17's or 18's on your rides guys. Also tell us about your suspension setups. How low you are, stock height, ect.........

I'm running Espelirs with the wheel/tire package in the sig. As far was weight, I didn't notice much difference. They are pretty close to the stock weight, despite the extra inch in width and height. Steering feels more stable, much less oversteer thanks to the sticky rubber.

18" Volk GT-C. The wheel/tire package total weighs the same as stock, but I wanna go lighter. The wheels are for sale cuz I'm going 17".

I don't remember off hand. One of my BMI video's shows them comparing the 16s and 17s, and the 17s were lighter. I'll take a look tomorrow and let you know. I'm sure someone will respond before then, though.

That was the HVI video, "Battle at 10,000 rpm." The 17's (w/ tires) were lighter by .3 pounds or something like that, but it did improve the lap time by .5 secs.
