Hehehehehe! That's my car! (was)
I knew they'd put it up for sale at around $25K!
Of course, you have to be the world's biggest sucker to pay that price.
Hope it goes to a great home.

Price for demand is key, you really can't put a price on a car that isn't in production anymore. I mean, if cars with demand were so "used car" market driven. What gives, for these 30+ yr. old Rare Muscle cars fetching 80-90,000 dollars these days- for a car that was 3-4,000 brand new

So what did they give you for it when you traded it? Do you know what they deemed the actual cash value?
Just wondering.

haha I just asked him whats the best he could do on it and he said that I was looking at the best. He aparantly drives it home both nights he has had it so that it stays safe in his garage. He said he wont budge on the price until it hasnt sold for at least 30 days.

Something tells me that the car will remain unsold for while if the price stands.

Im curious what you got on trade also. There are several ITRs out there at dealers right now (01s) that are ~24k. I just might take mine to the local dealer here that I do business with and see how much they will give me for mine, rather than deal with the hassle of selling it.

OK, I posted the details a while back. Here's a brief summary:
I traded in my car at $18K at a BMW dealership. I'm getting an M3, so that was my down payment, basically. Here in WA, we also have this trade-in credit, and with another $1600, my net from the trade-in is actually $19.6K. I understand that not all states have this advantage.
That price was pretty much what I was going to ask in a private sale, so it was nice not to have to deal with the hassle. I'm not sure if an Acura dealer would've given me a similar value. I've heard of people being offered as low as $13K on their '00-01 ITRs, to as much as $15-16K. Mine is the highest I know.
But it's a nice car. How many stock '01 ITRs with 23K miles are out there? Here in WA, I think the number is probably zero. So, geographical factors also drive the whole supply/demand aspect of it.
$25K is obviously high for that car, but I'm pretty sure it'll fetch $22-23K, if not a little more.
I had it for sale at $19K, and all I got was bunch of lowball offers at H-T. Now, try getting that car at $19K.

You think selling a nice milage car, with good power will sell on a internet forum full of 15 & 16 year old kids that just got their license? Gotta think harder. Of course youll be lowballed on a forum. Im happy you sold it for that price and not some punk kid here.
The car is posted up in Bellevue. Some rich kid will get their hands on it.
I actually went to go take a look at it, but was reluctant to even look at it further the moment I popped the hood and noticed the short block has been replaced. Top that off, the car seemed as if it was modified at one point, but was returned to stock when traded in. If that car was a virgin, I'd seriously consider paying $20k max for it.

Bambam got the car new and told me that the shortblock wasn't replaced.
Only mods the car had were suspension and header/exhaust. If that scares you away you're silly. I helped with/did most of the work on the car, so I can speak to the condition. It was maintained meticulously.

No. His point is that Bellevue is populated by a bunch of rich kids... many of whose parents work at Microsoft. They are likely buyers.
