Starting problems
I have a 91 crx si and its not starting. I changed the main relay, but now the voltage to the fuel pump just drops. Is that normal? I checked all the fuses and they are all good. I'm stumped. I know it has to do with the fuel pump, because its not priming when you turn on the ignition. Any help would be appreciated.
Here is your problem the power wire that is yellow/black stripe I think. going from the main relay to the fuel pump. that wire is shorting out somewhere it happens a lot I just fixed mine last week. it was fine and then it just started losing power and then just wouldn't start. well I tested the relay it was fine and all fuses where good.
well the power to the fuel pump was not getting any so I just ran a new power line back to the fuel pump. and wired it to the wire going into the main relay that clicks on when you turn your key on. then you will have a full 12v to the pump. mine runs better than it ever has. its worth trying. i have a 88 ef hatch

Are you suppose to get a constant 12V to the fuel pump or does the voltage drop as soon as the pump is done priming? I get 12V to the pump, but only for a few seconds.
