the last time i gun my car i notice that around 5500k- 7000k my car feels really weird, my car pulls pretty smooth then all of a sudden for a split second it stops pulling, then it pulls again then stops. its like the engine boggles or something. bored on a saturday afternoon i took my car out for a spin around the empty roads as i gun it through 2nd and 3rd it does it again, the engine boggles again but this time my engine light came on. so i slow it down a bit tryin to reach home before something serious happens. i wanted to see whats wrong so i step on the gas pedal a little hard just to take it around 5500 but around 5200 the car feels like shitt and doesnt pull at all, my car started kinda jerkin back and forward a little. so now im just bummed out and have no idea whats wrong wif it. my car is a 98 integra gsr 90k, oil recently changed. the one thing wrong wif the car is theres a coolant leak. would that be the key problem to whats wrong. but i wouldnt think coolant leak would cause a problem like that. blahh HELP

 

when the ecu throws a cel, its goes into limp/safe mode, so you cant engage vtec. jump the ecu and find out what the code is.

 

sounds like your timing was thrown off...i done this before with my accord....i was gunning it and i mis shifted......went from 3rd back to 2nd..didnt blow the motor but it throw my timeing off because i was missing a distributor bolt ahaha but thats what it was doing to me...when you gun it...it chugs then picks up right?

 

yea it chugs then picks up. but i didnt misshifted or anything i just left it in 2nd and guned it, and it happened.

 

yeah im pretty sure its your timming thats off...you should check it!
