Default New Owner!

Hey guys and gals,
So, as of tomorrow I will be the very proud owner of a 1992 Civic HB Si.
Car comes with:
A fresh factory red paint job as of last november
B16A with JDM LSD Tranny
AEM CAI
DC Header
Magnaflow Exhaust
Skunk2 Stage 1 cams
Skunk2 Chipped ECU
Engery Suspension Motor Mount Inserts
Skunk2 coilovers
Tokico Blues
Generico F/U strut bar
15" Tenzo wheels (Mugen RNR knockoff's)
Toyo Proxes 205/50's
Excedy Stage 1 clutch
ACT flywheel
JDM headlight corners
Pioneer head unit and speakers
JDM Shift boot and Spoon titanium shift ****
P/S
A/C
Not too bad eh? He went to the track and ran a 14.7 on a cold night (not a lot of traction, and a horrible 60'). His trap was around 93mph though he said.
Im super stoked about it. The suspension will be the first to go. Im going to get full coilovers, then the rest of the strut bars, and sway bars. Then I am just going to do cosmetic stuff.
I will try and post pictures as soon as I take ownership tomorrow.

Thanks for the props guys!
Yea, I was able to test drive it for a while today, its so much fun!
I probably paid way over what I should of, but I needed a car, and it was the cleanest one that Ive seen in a long time. What I paid was actually $2000 less then what he was asking...so thats good.
I will get pictures up as soon as I can.
I just got off the phone with Geico...man insurance is nuts on this car! But, thats my fault. I have a DUI on my record. I dont want to hear it people!! Yes, I know that drinking and driving is wrong. I dont need the lecture, my jail time, fees, DUI classes, MADD classes, work release is lesson enough for me. So please just refrain from talking crap about that. But, yea, my insurance is like $1900/6mo.! Without the DUI, on a clear record it would be about a fourth of that. Im going to shop around for cheaper insurance...any ideas on other companies? I am thinking progressive, AAA, e-surance.
Thanks

Yea, I dont really want to disclose how much I paid. Lets just say that I am happy with the purchase, and thats all that matters.
Yea only a 14.7. With some cam gears, and tuning I should get a good low 14 I would think on a good night. You think that is unrealistic with the mods?

By all means I wasn't being a dick, just saying seems like you should b a little quicker, good luck with the tune.

By the way how do you like the exedy stage 1 clutch?

Yea it should be faster. As explained in the first post, the guy did the 14.7 on a cold night (bad traction) and a horrible 60'. But, his trap was around 93mph, so I am guessing with good traction it should be at a lower mid 14 as it stands right now. With a good tune it should be a solid low 14 second car.
The clutch was fantastic. It was light, and had a great feel. I only got about 10 minutes behind the wheel so far, so I will be able to give you a better idea of it after I get to drive it more. Ask me again on tuesday.
The guy didnt have all the paper work ready for today, so I am actually getting the car tomorrow afternoon.

So I just got back from driving around. This car is so much fun it should be illegal. I love it. It pulls all the way up to 8000rpm. With the setup I know that I can go to 9K, but I dont want to push it, and really, how much power am I going to make up there?
Anyway, just wanted to give you guys the update. Why didnt you guys tell me these cars were this much fun sooner? hahaha
Cheers

What did I kindly ask people not to do? Yes, I know it was wrong! Ive learned my lesson trust me. And you ever stop to think...if someone has their license, and have had alcohol some time in their life, they too have the potential of getting a DUI. That is one of the very first things that we learned at the DUI class. I am pretty sure that would cover about 99% of the people on this board.
PLEASE refrain from these comments people...you dont need to tell me what I already know!

I understand this. This was the previous owners best times...and as I have mentioned twice now, those were under bad track conditions. I will go to the track soon and let you know what this car really does.

That's an Integra (everyone makes mistakes) he obviously didn't know any better j/p <TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by Djaric &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">WHERE ARE THE PICS!!

That's right, the older you get, the less it'll be, you probably haven't been driving for that long

Anyone who's ever driven drunk understands the mistake that they made/are making, it's that individuals choice to stop. I'm glad to see that your decision not to make that same mistake is a good one. I'm happy to hear it, it most cases it takes for something to happen for people to learn.

Yea, Im 22. Its mainly because of my DUI. If I had a completely clean record insurance would of only been like $54x.xx every 6 months. Crazy huh?

You know, I thought this for the longest time. And am somewhat still a bleiver in that. But, this guy had ALL of his reciepts from all the work done on the car. The swap was done at a reputable shop. This car is flawless on the exterior, and interior. Yea, its a clean title. The guy was really knowledgable about what he was doing as well. Yea, he probably ran it pretty hard, but with only about 40K on the motor it cant be that bad

Yea, my GSR was fun, but not quite like this. Thats probably mainly because I didnt have any mods on my integra before my accident. But this car is an absolute blast. If you see me driving around, you would probably laugh, cause I have the biggest smile on my face when Im driving it. Ive been getting thumbs up from all kinds of other honda heads around town, and even a few demestics. Maybe thats because I pull away from them on the freeway onramp
