Left dome light on and now stereo is asking me for code...
Left dome light on and now stereo is asking me for a code. I tried getting the code from honda but they tried to charge me $80 bucks. I told them the serial number and they still tried to charge me to look it up. So, now i am on here asking for help... the serial number is CLJCGA340001492. when i press 1 & 6 and turn on the unit it gives me U4000 and L1492. PLEASE HELP!
ok i pressed 1 & 6 and turned on the unit and came out with U4000 and L1492... then i pressed #2 and it suddenly worked. the only thing is i have to do that everytime i go into the car because it still throws the CODE part when i turn on the car. so please still help if you can help me get the code. i can get by doing thing temporarily but still need the code! thanks.

Then as romoracing suggests, you can get it at a dealer, just have the model and serial numbers and proof of ownership, go to the service department and ask, it only takes them a min. and most will do it for free.
