Default Burnout w/ my launch controller always being on?

Long story short, my ecu came with the launch control feature and its always on. It is set @ 4k...will I be able to do a burnout on wet pavement? Dont know, havent tried...dont want to break a axle. What do you guys do @ the track with a ecu that features the launch control crap to always be on?

If it's possible, I would turn it up (rpm wise), depending on your motor, 4K might not be enough to do a good burn out. I use my 2-step when I do a burn-out, it's set at 7400 or so (dependent upon track conditions). Hope this kinda answers your question.

What do you mean by "always on?"

Does the car ever rev past 4k?

What ECU do you have?

I would think the launch control would disengage as soon as it detects wheel speed, so you will just have to hope that the 4k launch will be enough to start a burnout without bogging.

the launch control disengages as soon as you let off the clutch and the clutch swith is disengaged. If you don't have enough at 4K just turn it up a little, but you should be fine as 4k is around the rpm that most people launch at and get a little bit of wheel spin.
