DA integra - Fuel relay or Main relay???????
O.K. guys. Sometimes my car won't start like it's not getting fuel......and sometimes it's starts up right away....Has anyone had something like this???? I have no Check Engine Codes......
Does a fuel relay go bad??? or if the Main relay is going bad what kind of symptoms do I encounter....
This is an intermidant problem so it's hard to isolate being that it only happens once in awhile....but as of lately....it happens more frequently.......
I will crank the car..for a minute.........no motor start....then let it sit for another minute...and it cranks right up....The starter works fine.......I am either thinking it's something with the fuel system......fuel relay....or main relay....
Help>.................

Are they not the same thing on an old acura? Have you checked the main fuel relay for cracked solder joints?

it has nothing to do with soldering the joints and what not, you have a bad main fuel relay. for some reason g2s have that problem.

Have you ever taken a close look at a bad one? They almost always have cracked solder joints.

I had a similar problem this summer with my 1991 Integra. Hot weather seemed to be the initial cause. Removing the relay and re-soldering the joints took about 1/2 hour, and that was because I was working slowly.

There is really no reason to spend the money on replacement when a free repair works perfectly well, in my opinion. If I recall, the relay costs $40-$50 new.
Mine has been perfect for 3-4 months now, and it didn't cost me a dime to fix.
