I'm thinking its a ZC transmission, they have a very short 5th. Read in the FAQ thread, theres a how-to in there about how to swap in a certain year integras 5th in there. I know you can swap in a Si 5th as well, not sure about the DX or HF though.

If it is a d-series transmission, the Si and DX gear ratios are the exact same, so it wouldn't matter (the difference between DX and Si is the final drive). Also, the Si and DX gears will probably not bring down his rpms in 5th all that much, I think. His best bet would be to swap in the Hf 5th gear.

Thats about the same on my '89 Si transmission.
We need to know what transmission you have.

Then the answer is an LS 5th gear.
If it is a d series trans...might think about a HF gear in there.

**** you the hf is the best....
No for sure the Hf 5th will be a good addition if you don't mind dropping down to 3k from the 4th gear----in a D series
In a b series----Cable: The Best is the 90-93 Ls 5th gear Hydro: I have not a lcue but i would guess any 5th out of the new civic tranny.

in the quater mile, you probally wouldnt get out of 4th. so the only reason you would need to shift at a high rpm 4th to 5th is to street race which makes you a big fucktard,
so **** you

Try that, but it's an LS 5th gear for a S1 tranny. Pretty good write up with some pics on it. Hopefully it helps
