Default oem itr cd player - "PED" wtf?

I tried to clean it, but to no avail...

I don't want to replace it - I like the low key itr head unit... not theft prone...

But dammit, I want to be able to play cd's!

Speak about low key sound unit...
I'm giving up my Kenwood + CD changer to the GF in exchange of her single CD unit as my OEM unit gave up on me also! I saw a buddy back then installed an amp on his stock OEM CD unit with new rear speakers....it sounded very good and I would like the same for mine.

PED= Poor electronic device

Just kidding, but in my old GSR it did that. It would read the Cds some times and some times it would't.

How did you clean it? You really need to take it apart and clean it good. Not just use some CD player cleaner.

I bought some kind of cd cleaner - looks like a cd but has some brushes sticking out of one little small area...

Take it apart?

If I go through all that trouble, I'll just get a tv to put there instead.....
