Default 03 GT Vs. I/H/E 05 RSX-S.

Wow, whatt a rush and what a race, so I met up with RSXiMUS, he has an 05 RSX-S w/i/rh/e dynod @ 204whp , 147wtq. I have a stock 03 GT with just welded on flowmasters(no performance gain, actually takes away some torque) and a Mach 1000 system which is about 100 extra lbs.

Anyways, we went on the freeway onramp, it's very short but we managed to get a 20-60mph run, it was even, he may have been up by a hair but it was real close, I hit the brakes and we went along.

We went to the mother of all onramps, its a 2-lane onramp that lets you get to about 130 mph before the lanes merg. We started at around 20mph, again, it was even until about 65 until I had to shift into third(my notorious third gear problem showed its face and it didn't get into gear)..ARGHHH!! ...

So we exit, turn around and get on the onramp again. Like always, even until 65, I practically granny shifted into third, as a result RSXiMUS started to pull hard, he was up by a good amount but I was dissapointed since my 2-3 was so slow.

I wanted to get in a run in w/out me having to do a 2-3, so somehow the freeway magically opened up and we had a long *** stretch of road ahead of us, we started at 75 mph. Right off the honk I got about a half car lead, the lead stayed pretty even until about 100, from about 100-125 ish I may have inched a few more inches because he seemed to be at my rear fuel door by then, but suddenly like a bat out of hell he started reeling on me at like 130, by the time we reached 140 which is my cutoff for 4th and the RSX-S cutoff for 5th he was up by about a fender.

WOW, all in all, im happy how I did against the RSX-S. They are seriously no joke, he's beaten some big boys, so im happy that my car is respectable to the cars that he's beaten. So, last weekend I raced a stock 05 RSX-S..the diff from the mods? First/Second is the same, but third+ the modded RSX-S will reallllllly pull on the stock RSX-S.

I'm not up for street racing, I believe it should be in a environment fit for racing rather then on highway where is you are endangering not just yourselves but everyone around you. Thats cool in all that your car can handle the RSX-S but try to be on the safe side. Not here to bash on you if thats what you are thinking cuhz im sure other people see the way i see it.

As a group here, Honda Tech are unalterably firmly opposed to illegal race-like activities conducted on public roads.
