anyone know how much stock civic seats weigh? (92-95) i just thought if anyone knew off the top of their head, i could get a quick answer. if not, for anyone else who is wondering, tomorrow evening ill take mine out and weigh them, and post it here. just considering if its worth purchasing racing seats for weight, and comfort of course. thanks

 

My cloth VX seats weighed 35lbs.

My pleather CX seats weighed 35lbs also.

I weighed my stock front passenger-side VX seat, I got 31lbs on a bathroom scale.

 

racing seats weight about the same. The gross weight for a racing seat in a box with sliders is 37, after u take out the packaging materials it should weigh close to the same as a stock seat

 

If you guys want light weight racing seat. Look for carbon fiber bucket.

 

i weighed 92-95 cloth seats at 32lbs on a digital scale including all brackets and no bolts

 

that would probably be most accurate unless you took one to the post office after hours, and used the do it yourself shipper scale. its good for 150 lbs! mine is like a 10 year old "analog" (not digital...dont know what to call it) scale....probably pretty inaccurate. thanks for all the replys.

So the GSR seats weight the same as EG Civic seats?! What about the del sol seats? - I heard they weight less, but I couldnt' find the weight searching for it.

 

The same scale weighed the GSR cloth seats (square open headrest) at 33lbs with brakets and no bolts.

1lb heavier each than an EG seat

 

That's amazing...only 1 lb Two questions, how much more does a GSR leather seat weight compared to a GSR cloth? And is the GSR seat a lot higher then the stock civic seat like everyone says?
