S20 tranny? and what is a P07 ECU?
what model of ecu is a P07? i got one with my d15b swap and instead of using that one i used my stock P28 from my d16z6. should i switch them or keep using the P28. i am not getting a codes and seems to be running fine. so should i not mess with a good thing, or switch. 2nd question is S20 tranny came with it. Does it have LSD?

USDM/CDM S20 trannys did not come with LSD.
96+ trannies are S40 not S20.
Unless the car is from Canada there is no such thing as a 97 SI, if it is from Canada then it's the same as the EX here in the US.
the P07 uses a wideband O2 sensor, EGR valve and lean burn cruising to get better mileage.
Unless you have the VTEC-E version of the D15B you do not want the P07, stick to your P28.

check the case of the tranny it will have larger black letters LSD on it if it has LSD.
If the head code is P07 you have the VTEC-E engine
if the head code is P08 you have the VTEC version that is closest to the D16Z6.

look on the block and you'll see what engine code is stamped on the block, D15Z1 is the engine code for all 92-95 civic VX's that came with the vtec-e
the tranny codes are A000 and B000 i'm pretty sure that you want the B000 thats from the ex/si dont quote me on this tho

the s20 is the jdm version of the p20... the dx has the A000 stamping and the ex/si have the B000 stamping on either s20/p20...essentially, s20 and p20 are the same transmission but the p20 is usdm
