Default ITR CD player problem...screen reads "COD 2"?

The ground cable on my battey jumped off at work and I came out to start the car...nothing. Well, I retightened it and, as you well know, you have to enter the code into the headunit every time the power is disconnected. Instead of getting the usual "enter code" message is says "COD 2." Does this mean the headunit is busted? Help! Thanks for any inofrmation guys.

IIRC it means your on the second try of entering the correct code. If you have the code turn it off and start over, put the right one back in and you should be good to go.

on your fusebox under your hood...take the fusebox cover off.. On the underside of it, should be a sticker, that is also your radio code...let me know how that works,...

This is only if the dealer or original owner put it there. My 01 does not have it there. If you take it to the local acura dealer they can pull the code for you.

I have the right code. My dad was driving the car when it died so he prob. pushed a bunch of buttons and F#@ked it up. Now it reads "error 3." Anyone know what this means. Thanks for the input guys.

thats a theft lockout. it means youve tried to enter the code too many times.

unhook your battery again, and re-enter the code.
