Default LX Sedan Steering - rebuit manual or rebuilt power?

I'm starting to think my steering is shot on LX (torn boots, leaks, very loose rack), and I'm not sure which way I should go. I know the LX PS rack is 3.6 ratio and manual HF/DX is 3.9.

I remember reading that 88-91 has different xmembers for ps/manual racks. Is that all I'd need if I was to buy a remanufactured manual rack? I can't find much at all in the search since only 4drs came with PS, and they're like the red-headed stepchild around here.

Thanks for any help

I'm interested in this as well, I would love a quicker rack for my LX (whenever it starts running again)
