Default just ordered a turbo kit, and I think this turbo is bad..PICS!!!! HELP!!!

ok...I just got my turbo kit off a guy in cali. After examining the turbo my conclusions are this.
1) No shaft play at all
2)No oil leakage signs anywhere
3)THE F*CKING THING IS CRACKED BY THE WASTEGATE!!!!(Please see pics!)
-Can this turbo be used as is?
-If not can this be "welded" in any fashion?

4. Am I missing the gasket that goes between the exhaust side of the turbo, and the downpipe? see pic.."where the studs are with nuts on them", does this need a gasket here?

P.S. The guy told me the turbo will work fine in this condition...What do you guys think?

Those WG cracks are pretty common on older factory turbo's. They won't be a problem. No gasket on the DP connection.

What kind of turbo is that? do you know what the specs are? especially the turbine (hot) side? You can try using it, and if that crack gets any worse maybe you can swap out the turbine housing for another one. Pricing for a new housing is around $200 maybe a lot less if you get it used.

A lot of people dont even use a gasket between the turbine outlet and the downpipe. Just make sure both surfaces are flat, and use some copperspray on the mating surfaces.

thats a garrett T3, i beleive its .48. How do you adjust boodt on this thing? There is a rod coming from the wastegate, and I beleive it is factory rated at 8psi, would a manual boost controller plug in to this type of setup?(screw type?), and if so, that will give me full adjustability?
