mahle piston vs weisco pistons

ok i ordered wiseco 9:1 compression pistons for the ls vtec turbo...for 440 shipped....but they were on backorder and i was offered mahle piston's for 480 shipped and they came with heat and friction protection....just wanna no if it was a smart move or not...i mean the place where i ordered them from told me they were better..
