Default Honda Type 2 Coolant the blue stuff

Can you mix the type 2 coolant, (blue kind ) with the regular green stuff ? I'm planning on doing a rad drain and refill..

No... the blue stuff is organic with no phosfates(spelling?) which the green coolant contains.

If you wanna use the blue one, completely flush out the cooling system and then add the new coolant.

The Honda green and blue coolant will mix fine, they almost the exact same thing just a different color to distinguish b/w the type 1 and type 2. If your using some other noname stuff then flush it out.

More than likely it will be fine.

I work at a dealer we mix it all the time. There is no diference between the two
one is just blue thats all. I think they did it so they could tell if the vehicle had been serviced at another dealer

Yes, well if you had green before it will be a aqua color since it will still have some green in the system.

If they use the Honda type 2 antifreeze. Some dealers use cheaper stuff.

Yes you can, think of everytime someone changes there coolant to the new stuff, how many people actually think of the dumping the old coolant out of the resevior, and replacing with new coolant.

Now, I do it cause I'm thorough like that.
