You need to either fix that picture or stop posting it all together. Its upside down.

Actually it's different.
Yours goes:
21
43

His goes:
13
24

Mistabone, I thought cylinders were numbered left to right as 1,2,3,4. The pic you have shows 4,3,2,1.

I thought the dizzy was:
-1 up top
2-3 with 2 being closer to the cab, 3 being closer to the bumper
-4 on the bottom.

Or if you use Mistabone's drawing it would be
-4
3-2
-1

Nope. 4,3,2,1 is correct. You count starting from the cam gear.

This one is correct.

Turn the dizzy on the pic 90 degrees clockwise, and that's what you'll get. That is how it's normally mounted on the head, but the pic doesn't show that.

Number 1 cyl is on the right, front of the engine, where the pulley's are. I made a mistake of thinking that the #1 is on the left while adjusting my valves, and it would have been ugly had I not caught my mistake before I closed things up.

Well, thank you for that new knowledge. I just always went left to right.
