Default b18c1 swap DA 1/4 mile time

r/t:.043
I1:2.327
I2:6.481
I3:9.871@72.742
I4: 12.710

E.T.: 14.6@95mph
besides this run i hit 14.8 about 5 times.

This was on horrible hankook tires that=no traction in 1st gear
stock da LS exhaust which is really choking me up top
stock gsr header which is a 4-2-1 and sucks
full interior, nothing removed

mods:
omni power suspension
8lb prostreetonline flywheel
exedy stock replacement clutch
b18c1 *usdm *swap w/ p28 chipped ecu
itr pistons
blox intake manifold

built by eugene at prostreet import

overall i'm happy with my results...with a 4-1 header, better tires, a 2.5" exhaust, and hondata i should be hitting a high 13 or low 14 second 1/4 mile which is good enough for me. I'm thinking about running ctr cams as well. :driving:

14.7@ 94mph? Damn impressive for a stock GSR motor in a DA. What's the weight of your car and is the long block stock?

thanks...yea i need better tires to get my 60ft down. I was launching at 3500 rpm because if i launched any higher i would spin like crazy. Hopefully i can hit a 14.4 with better tires.

my car is actually the heaviest DA at ~2650 lbs...the GS model
yea the long block is stock.
stock exhaust
stock header
full interior +**** in the trunk
bad tires
temp was ~80 degrees

i was impressed by my own times
i beat a b16 hatch by alot
beat an h22 prelude by alot
almost beat a mercedes(not sure what model)
beat a boosted vw gti by about .2 seconds
i beat a ls DC by alot
i beat an LS hatch(i think the driver sucked)
i kept up with a boosted z3 14.5 vs.14.7..i actually kept up most of the time until about the end of third he started catching up and proceded to pass me.

downside: my alternator belt snapped off at the track, so i had to change it

I really like hearing about other DA's. I've got a 1990 DA all stock that I run at the track. My best time was a 15.9. My motor has over 200K miles on it. The only advantage that I have is that my car is gutted. Oh - also it's an automatic!!

I like hearing about da's too. But I ran my da about 20 times and my friend with a 11 sec civic ran it too the best time ever out of my da with the stock motor with exhaust, header and intake was 16.1- wtf. were you guys in street tires. I had a short geared tranny too. with a clutch and flywheel. It must be the bad track prep in pa.

So how is it a stock GSR when it has ITR pistons and Blox manifold???

Nice times regardless.

However... how the hell can you run a 9.8 eighth mile and get a 14.6 quarter... I can run a 9.7 witha 2.4 60' eighth and it converted to a 14.9 @ 95 quarter. Granted... the track has a slight incline. That's bullshit!

well because i hit a 15.1 at lacr. if you go to lacr.net there is a conversion factor due to the high altitude. You multiply your e/t by .97 and your speed by 1.03. So the 9.8 is a little slow because i didnt convert that to sea level time...so most likely it was like a 9.7 or 9.6 i have no clue. but yea...

oh about the gsr being stock..well i should say semi-stock

driver?
what was your 60 foot?
tuning is a big factor in your power output, so that could be hurting you. I dont know how your motor was built, but that plays a factor. I can't tell you why my car is fast.

My best 60 was 2.32 but I ran a 14.9 with a 2.4 60. My clutch I think was bad because I watched the video last night I didn't even burn out in second gear. I really don't know. all my friends said the car could be in the 13 on street tires but im just pissed because I put a bunch of money in the motor and I have no good results yet. And what suck the most I live in pa so winter is coming and that will put quite a halt on my drag racing.

that sucks my 14.6 was on a 2.3 60 ft time...with a 2.1 i should be at a 14.2 or around there. With slicks i'll be in the high 13's with my current set up. On street tires, plus a header, and exhaust i should be into the high 13's as well. Just because you put alot of money into a motor doesnt mean it's fast...it has to be packaged and tuned correctly to see good results.
