Default does the turbo timer work if the remote start isnt hooked up?

I got the viper 791. I got it because it has tons of features and has a turbo timer feature.

But I just checked the user manual out and it says to activate the turbo timer I need to press a couple of buttons together one of which is the remote start button.

So I was wondering if remote start needs to be hooked up for the turbo timer to work?

If so, what should I do? The "authorized" dealers here wont install it on a manual car.
I need the TT to work thats one of the reasons why I bought this damn thing because it has TT.
