ok, my ecu doesnt always come on..meaning the car wont start you have to attempt to start it until the ecu decides to come on.. was wondering wat it could be faulty ecu? bad ground?? please help

 

how do you know the ecu is not coming on?

 

not starting sounds more like bad relay. It took a lot of time and replacement parts before i figured out that there was a relay on my 89 honda civic that was faulty, the relay was old and the solder joints cracked, so when it was hot they expanded and and car would not start, during cold weather car worked great. i took relay apart resoldered all the joints then re-inforced them and been running on it 2 years now.

 

CHECK GROUNDS

 

i kno the ecu isnt coming on because wen u turn the key to the on posotion it isnt flashing at all and it should flash once because it is the self diagnostic ecu
