Which ECU for a Poor Man's ITR?
Currently using a stock OBDIIA P72..
I came across a JDM OBDIIA P73 on e-bay..
Should I stick with the P72 if there's still P72 pistons and no port/polish to the B16A head and make the switch after the work's been done?
Tried searching.. plenty of arguments over the B18C1 vs B16A head.. but none mentioned which ECU to use..

i would just stick to the p72...samething as the p73 maybe allows to rev a little higher and also depending on what manifold your using. But Me personally, I would go for a p28 with hondata. Im using that that couldnt be more happier.
A P28 with a suitable program shouldn't run more than about $150 and I saw the correct conversion harness in the classifieds yesterday for forty bucks. It's not worth fooling around with stock OBD-2 ECU's with these prices floating around.

Does that even count as a reasonable reply?

I'd recommend an obd2a USDM 1997 ITR p73 ecu...it's plug and play, as well as emission legal for the stricter obdII diagnostic port tests they do now...at least where I live.
