replacing timing belt and clutch on b16...pull motor or not?
well i never did replace the timing belt, water pump and tensioner on my b16a so i really need to do it before it breaks. my clutch is also worn out so im replacing the clutch and having the flywheel resurfaced. should i pull the engine to do it or do one side at a time???
Well, Its a given that working on the motor outside of the car is a million times easyer. BUT its really up to prefrence.
well you already need to remove the axles, shiftlinkage. to get the trans out.
Just a little bit more work, and you can pull the entire motor.
personaly. I think if your going to do so much work, pull the motor.

I owuld get the tranny off and support the motor with a jack while you do the timing belt. This way you will be able to move the motor around and have room, but you wont have to go through the work of dropping the motor back in, which with b series can be a bitch. Just imo though.
I would pull just cause you have half the stuff out to pull motor. Find some others things that may need to be replaced also, mightest well you have the entire engine out.
