will a clutch and flywheel for a 91 civic work with a zc transmission??

All transmissions 89 and up all the way to at <u>least</u>2000 are 20 spline, and all the flywheels 90 to at least 2000 are identical, so yes, it should work.

For instance, I am using a 94 flywheel with an 89 transmission, with a new 90-00 stage 2 clutch.

The clutch outer diameter has to match that of the diameter of the working surface on the flywheel, and the spline count on the transmission has to fit that of the socket on the clutch. So, parts are able to me mixed and matched.
