Somone tried using a screwdriver to break into my car and destroyed the drivers side lock. I can still lock it and everything but I cannot unlock it from the outside. They are power locks if that makes a difference.

Is it best to buy a new lock for my car from a Honda dealer and how much would something like this cost?

 

have you looked inside maybe the plastic holding the rod is off or broken

 

If you look from the outside the piece of metal that is the flap is permanently bent. I'm pretty sure it's destroyed. It's not possible to turn my key once it's inserted.
