Anyone ever have problems with Ingall's rear upper control/camber arm?
Recently my 1991 Civic Si has just barely passed tech at two Solo II events. The 1st event when the tech guys shook the rear wheels you would hear a clicking sound. But when I went to reproduce the noise it went away.
2nd event this past Sunday the clicking came back as you shook the wheel back and forth. Guy warned me it was a wheel bearing problem. Both regions the tech guys put the full weight of their bodies into shaking the wheel.
Finally got to take in to my sponsor to have it checked out waiting for the bad news it would be a wheel bearing & hub which would be $150-200 per side. Upon closer inspection we pushed the hub back and forth and noticed it was the outer most bolt holding the rear upper control arm/camber arm from Ingalls on both sides. Once we torqued the bolt back down the clicking went away.
Anything to be concerned about?
