I have this problem when i step on my clutch it will make this click sound...sometimes its loud and sometimes its quiet. you can feel the click. i took it to the dealer and they said they couldn't figure anything out. now thats its cold out side it feels like there alot of friction or its rubbing on something. anyone knows what it could be or what i could tell the dealer???
Thanks
Thanks
Mine has been doing the EXACT same thing lately. About the half way point when I pressing the pedal in, I get a "click." I can hear it, and feel it. Sometimes it doesn't do it all day...sometimes it does it 5 mins. after I get in the car. I think it is definitely temperature related. I asked the local dealer and they said they would look at it at the next service (~400 mi.). He said there is one spot on the clutch arm that might need to be lubed.
I felt that in Austins car. Is the clutch fluid all black?
Change the clutch fluid

Don't think so. I had my car serviced 3 times for this. They finally ended up replacing the master clutch cylinder. That took care of the problem for a few months, and now it's back. It is a very faint sound, but you can definately feel it. I think it only happens at low speeds, say when you're in a parking lot of taking off from a stop sign. I'm just gonna live with it, i'll drive my car until it starts falling apart and breaking, this little click isn't going to stop me.
If i were you, i'd try to reproduce the sound right in front of the dealership, i had to just press the clutch repeatedly to make it happen in front of them. Just show them and ask them what they can do. I've posted my solution a few times already, hope people will remember it this time.

i have the same thing.. i doubt it's the fluid because my car has 5000kms on it and it's been clicking since about 4000.
2500miles for u guys.

Try lubricating the outer arm of the release fork, where the slave cylinder push rod pushes against it. (it's covered by a Rubber boot that you can take on & off with NO tools).
After disassembling mine when I replaced the clutch, I'm going to start checking the lube there every 15,000. jmho
??how much was a new master cylinder for the clutch?? That's the only "old" part I have in my assembly & I'm considering replacing it for practice

It could also be the slave cylinder. Mine clicks when it's cold.
The dealer sprayed some lube on the fork and it helped for some time. But now it's back!!!

I took mine in 3 times for a sticking clutch pedal, and they finally just replaced the clutch and slave cylinder. Now the new one clicks a little as I release the pedal. I called and bitched at my service rep and told him to be ready for my next visit, but it does seem to be getting better. We'll see...
I have been complaining about this one for a ling time. It started on my car with very few miles, and comes and goes. I don't think it temp related because mine has done it all through the Winter, then Summer, and now Winter again.
Most of the time it is a single click, but sometimes I'll get multiple clicks on the way down. Normally, one big one around the same spot, then some smaller ones. It frustrates the hell out of me when I'm in stop-and-go traffic.
I had the dealer lube the pedal pivot points and whatnot, but it didn't help. I got under there one time and saw what I think is causing the problem. If anyone wants to take a pic of the mechanism down there, or if there is an illustration in the Helms manual I could show you where the clicking is occuring. It is sort of hard to explain. It doesn't have anything to do with the slave cylinder. It is in the linkage where the push rod of the pedal presses the piston of the master cylinder.

Does anyone have a solution for this as I am getting the same clicking sound too. I think it might have to do with the cold weather as well as I've only noticed now that it's snowing.
i have the same thing...but i also had it on my rsx for a while, and even a legend that i drove...it seems to be somewhat temp related to me....but basically almost every acura i have drove has done this....
I have a similar problem with mine. Mine makes a horrible noise when I depress the clutch, kind of like the sound of an old wooden door opening. It sounds like something needs to be lubed. Any ideas?
I get the same thing and had the dealership look at it.
They concluded that it was the springs rubbing against each other.
They replaced all those parts and lubed them up and it went away for about 2 hours.
Dealership reckons its a design flaw in the integra. I'm learning to live with it.

it has nothing to do with faulty parts. i had this same exact problem. took it to the dealer heres how it went:
1st time, they replaced my master/slave cylinder. click went away for about 1 month.
2nd time, they dropped the whole tranny and replaced my input and throwout bearing. didnt solve anything.
3rd time, they lubed my clutch return spring. problem solved.
i have to lube it about every 4-5 months now, but the click is gone for the most part.
hope this helps

I had the same problem with the OEM clutch, for about a year, and then all of a sudden the friggin clutch crapped out on me without warning. Went from grabbing like a champ one day to not going into gear at all unless the car is completely stopped the next day.
Anyway, I now have ACT XT/SS clutch and no longer have clicking noise.
