Does any know how many miles you get once your gas light comes on? For any bike, but particularly fellow gsxr600 riders would help as well. I've searched and havent found anything. I dont want to find out the hard way and run out of gas.....Thanks in advance.....


And why the hell do most sportbikes not come with a fuel gauge? I know the RR's do......Whack!

 

They don't come with gauges because it's not always practical. And the mileage you have left when on reserve varies. Check your owners manual, it should say how much fuel you have on reserve.

I've gotten 166 to the tank max and 133 min.! 2002 gsxr 750

Ask me how I know....

I think my max has been like 130...minimum has been as low as 75 before the light came on.

 

yeah i have an 05 750 and my ilght comes on at 100mi. so i figure i have about 130 on a tank. I dont want to run out and find out, id be embarrassed. haha
I dont even get on it that much anymore, i just cruise it like Granny May

Fuel light no worky. So it was hell the first month or two commuting. Goddamit, why are there gas stations at every exit except when you really need one..?!1!

 

160 to a tank.... i just drive until it stops then switch to reserve

 

I usually get 85 miles per tank before the RLOD. 60mpt at trackdays.

 

150-170 highway miles before my low fuel light comes on.

Probably like 120 miles around town.

 

3.3 miles per litre. 15-18mpg

I never trust fuel guages. As soon as the old CBR used to hit reserve It had about 20 miles or so I think.

 

i get 96-105 miles b4 the light turns on my 1999 gixxer750

 

Don't have a light on mine. I get 170 miles with normal driving, 140-150 at most fast riding. Rerserve's about 15+ miles.

 

113 miles and the light came on.

I usually can get 120-150 when i'm out for spirited rides. I can get well up to 200 when just cruising around, riding to work etc.

 

Fuel light comes on around 120 in normal riding, Ive never pushed it past 130 to find out...=p

Riding hard Im lucky to get 70-80

 

All you inline guys get poop for mileage.

You should see what a GMC safari gets with 4 people, gear, trailer w/4 bikes, compressor and 15 gallons of gas cans. Ouch.

I bet it's higher than the ~7mpg my racecar gets (on $6/gal 100 oct).

That's cause you spend all your time at 12k rpm, wasting gas.

I don't think the differential between the liter twins is that far off the liter inlines.

I think I need to go down a size on my main jets. I am jetted for sea level and my pipe has alot of carbon buildup, I think she runs rich.
