itz really weird.. when i start my car it makes this churning noise.. like metal is rubbing against metal... it starts just fine but that noise is starting to bug me... also... while i'm driving at night and i turn my headlights on or my heater the rpm drops to about 5-550... it drops down to the point where the car almost dies... someone plz help.. thanks in advance... oh.. also itz a jdmh22 that i just recently swapped in.

that sounds like a alternator issue to me, make sure that all wires going to the alternator and battery are secured... i had the same problem, turned out the main alternator plug comming from the battery was just about to fall off...

kk.. since i'm at work right now i'll check the alternator tomorrow.. maybe i'll go to shucks so they can check my charging system or something. Hmm... anyone else has any input on the starting sound it's makin?

 

welpz the alternator checked out okay... does anyone know if the f22a4 (sohc non vtec) and the Jdm h22 uses the same alternator? LIke how many amps it pulls?
