paint?
i got a cheap mako paint job about a year ago, and they just sprayed over my red with dark grey, so now i have red chips poppin up everywhere, anyone know what i can do to js put on my car to take off that first layer to make it red again?
yeah - unless you don't care much about your prelude. Hmm.......
I know a few people that took their vehicles to a maaco-equivalent place, but they prep their vehicle first. They do everything they needed like primer and all that.
Make sure - if you use the bondo yourself or whatever.......make sure you sand it down a lot - if you have too much bondo in one spot, they'll just paint over it, and it'll start to chip the next day - i've seen it happen. Good Luck.

its not that maco doesnt do a good job, they spray pain on cars every day, and do a good job, they do not however do good prep work, or if the body work is messed up instead of fixing it they just spray it and whatever. they dont do a horrible job just do ur own body and prepwork-
i totally agree. Most definatley. I'll pay them to paint my car......It'll be worth it instead of paying 8,000 for a paint job....just take a whole weekend and prep your car - take it to maaco monday, and have it back by thursday. Probably cost a little over a grand if you want the inside of your doors and everyhting painted. I suggest doing some of the taping yourself also.
