Default 1989 crx si with DOHC ZC won't start throws code 6 and 8....

The car used to run fast, but now won't start without starting fluid and continual fluttering of the gas pedal. Floor it and the engine dies. The codes thrown were a 6 and 8 (IAT and coolant temp.) I found that the wires had come loose so I reconnected everything, but it still throws the codes and doesn't want to start. I tested the sensors with a multimeter and they are reading within mfg specifications. I am wondering if there is a ground problem or ecu problem. The ecu is pm6.

Thanks
