Tune Up Help!
I posted this in the Civic thread with minimal responses, but seeing that I have a GSR engine in my Civic Im hoping that the Integra guys can help me out a little bit more.
I have had my car now for a couple of months and I am going to be doing a "tune up" on it here shortly just to get everything is good running order. I have a '98 hatchback with a GSR engine swap in it. I run only sythetic fluids in it right now and am thinking of going to amsoil fluids. I did a search and did not find much as to tune ups and what is all needed. I want to do a good job with it so I was curious as to what should be done. The engine has between 80,000 to 83,000 miles on it. Completely stock engine, but im going to be doing an intake on it soon also. What do you guys think would be good for a tune up?
Thanks,
Matt

Do you have an email address? I can send you a Service Interval Guide.
Well since your mileage is close to 90k, just do a major service...
Major Service Interval
Mileage: 30,000 - 60,000 - 90,000 - 120,000 - etc.
• Engine oil and filter - replace
• Fluid levels - top off all
• Lube hinges, locks, latches, and hood cable
• Front / Rear brakes - visual inspection
• Transmission fluid - drain & refill
• Lights - check operation
• Clutch - adjust if applicable
• Battery posts - inspect & clean
• Fuel lines, tank, lines & connections - inspect
• Spark plugs - replace (except platinum plugs)
• Distributor cap & rotor - inspect
• Tires - balance rear tires and rotate to front; adjust pressure & inspect tire wear pattern
• Coolant system - Check level & test protection
• Wiper blades - check operation & wear
• Park brake - adjust & lube as needed
• Front/Rear disc calipers & hoses

Thanks...I will look into that for sure.
Im going to do the plugs and plug wires for sure. Do you think it would be wise to change out the belts? Im probably going to do a new fuel filter as well. Get the cooling system flushed...
Just looking for more things to look at so I can get this car in tip top shape before winter comes. Plus I drive the damn thing about 50-80 miles a day so I just want to make sure the engine is in prime shape.

Change out the whole pump or are you talking belt wise? This could potentially be a very stupid question but I have not done anything with the water pump before so thats why im asking.

Usually when you replace a timing belt you do the water pump at the same time. Its recommended.
And there's no such things as stupid question. Better to ask and get it right then do it and do it wrong.
