Default Sad Sad Day for an EF :(

I was driving to pick up my gf and I look at my temp gauge. It's at Hot. Now It's a 25 minute drive and I didn't smell anything so I am not sure how long it was on for.
So I finally get the car home. To check out how much damage is done besides the Rad hose and here is the list.
1. Rad hose
2. Head Gasket
3. Spark Plug
4. Valve Cover Gasket

I know in the Cylinder head there is some gaskets for the spark plugs. Those are blown.

Time to drop in a new motor.
The damn car still starts and drives too.

No way man. You can fix that for next to nothing. If cost is an issue, go to the junkyard and get all of the gaskets except for the head gasket. Fix that puppy up in no time.

at 300,000KM's on the motor not worth it. I can pick up a DX with ECU,Tranny,Full Exhaust for 200$ CDN or a Si with full wiring,ECU,Tranny for 280$CDN. Both other motors have less then 150,000Km's on it.

You're right on that one. For a price like that you can't go wrong. Our EFs love heart transplants

Once I pull my motor I have in there now I will rebuild it over the winter and see what I can do with it. Possible build a mini-me setup or something who knows. I just hate to do wiring
