I'm no rules expert but I always interpreted that as any part that's <U>designed</U> so that you can easily remove and reuse, you are allowed to remove. I've seen lots of cargo covers that pop out and I'm pretty sure you're allowed to remove them. Aren't those panels that you are missing just held on by U-shaped spring clips and meant to be removable so you can have more storage space?

 

Only the top part (cargo cover) is held in by those clips. The divider and bin are both held in with bolts.

Yep, you only need the divider and bin to be legal. The top part is considered a removable item.

I'm not worried about the hatch cover. Very few of them have survived anyway, but I have to have that bottom part.

And I too have helped a couple of guys build cars and throw stuff like this in a dumpster. Now I need it. Crap.

 

Richy might have it... I know when I bought the CRX from him that he said he had quite a bit of the interior left over and in his storage shed.

A buddy of mine is going to be starting to build his ITA CRX this fall, and I'm pretty sure that his car still has these in place. I'll check w/ him and see if he still has them and see if he'll get rid of them. I know that the car is just sitting in the garage right now waiting to ge gutted and built.

 

I have a friend that has a CRX "yard car". I will check and see if it has the piece you need. I obviously don't know what condition the car is in. If he has what you need then you can pick it up when you come to do the DE at TGPR.

my db7's trunk liners do not have access holes for the shock towers, so i keep them in the attic.

I used to do that, but I ran out of room.
LOTS of stuff went to the trash when OPM relocated their shop. Stuff I didn't need then, but... Crap.
