Default Need Help can't get valves to stop tapping

I am having a hard time getting my valves to stop tapping, I have already set them 3 times, I have narrowd it down to cyl 1 or2 using a stethiscope(sp) .

My question is, is do they tap when just to loose or can they tap if to tight also.

the specs i used was .008 ex .010 int, and ofcourse with engine cold

Your valves will tap because they are loose or because of lack of oil. If you tighten them to much you will burn a valve. Remember...... Honda/Acura's are known to have a slight tapping noise to the motor.

make sure you are doing it at TDC of the power stroke, not TDC of the exhaust stroke, since there is overlap on the exhaust stroke you may be setting them when the valves are a tiny bit open (supposed to be a tiny bit open) and then when they are supposed to be closed, there is too much space, and they tick when the cam hits the follower.

yessssss
i am teh win
