Default Need to know if im getting a good deal on swap.

I talked to osaka and they would sell me a b16a1 head and a b16a2 tranny for $1,400 shipped. I have a block and im not sure if it is 1st or 2nd gen. Does this sound like a good deal? I also have gsr cams to swap into the head. He said it was a complete head, minus the valve cover. How can i tell what type of block i have? Does this price and setup sound reasonable? Im a noob looking for my first swap into a 95 dx coupe. Any info would help.
