Clunking When Changing - What Is Going On ?
Heya folks,
Firstly, I have recently had fitted a new ITR gearbox with factory LSD. The box as far as I am aware has no problems however my master cylinder appeared to. Every change was getting worse and worse (I.e. feels like the gears are catching on every change) it appeared to get worse at speed eventually leaving me stuck in a multistory car park.
I changed the fluid which was by now black and loaded with air bubbles so I blead the whole system with honda dot 4. After this it felt a lot better for about 2 weeks, then it all started to go bad again. I checked for air bubbles but couldn't see any so took the libery of changing the master and slave cylinders.
This made everything 100 times better, not notchyness and smooth changes from stand still and at speed. Again, the system was flushed and honda dot 4 used.
Now, 2 weeks in, the box is starting to feel notchy again. The question I ask is, what do I change next ? I was thinking the soft pipes between the cylinder and the hard lines (cheapest bits ...) and then the reseviour and hard lines.
Like I say, I don't believe the box has a problem as it *was* smooth but appears to have gone back to its old ways.
Anyone have any similar experiences ?
Any advice would be great,
Cheers,
