i was just reading the diy amber climate control, and went thru it all and did all of it
but the instructions dont say anything about doing the little ***** that control the fan and heat, is there away to take these off to make them amber as well?

if im reading it right and your trying to change your interior lights to amber i would like to know where you got that kit cause i am really interested in doing that myself to my teg, thanks

dont those light up on the same bulbs that the buttons do? so if you changed out the buttons and such , the slide switch's change as well. correct me if im wrong.

 

i have a jdm itr climate control for sale. lights up amber yo. just the lower portion. i kept the carbon fiber vent.

selling it cuz it woulnt match my usdm lighting.

 

In terms of painting the actually heat control and buttons. I'm not sure of what size bulb is actually back there, but how I would do it, and this is probably just one of a few ways, is just pop the switch off, and paint it from the back in an amber color.

I know this could be kind of tedious, and if your break the plastis cover, you need a new switch, and new from the dealer there not cheap (For my DA, a new sunroof runs 76+tax )

with that being said, how do you get those slider tabs to light up red? I think im just going to take a sharpie to it

 

hey thats a nice website for amber look do you use amber transuliant film paper or red and also where can i get that paper from?

 

Try a hobby store. One guy on TI went to an office supply store and used the orange tabs off dividers.

 

or u can buy my climate control that is already amber.

Use whatever you want, I did red, but im sure alot of people did amber.

 

i did the climate control but skip those two you did. You can do it but might be challenging because you have to put the vynil the very little hole in the tab. Its hard and i didn't bother with it.
