Default The ZC Strikes Again..

well my car was running fine.. then my catco cat broke and a chunk of the honey comb got stuck in the outlet hole of the cat.. i removed the cat.. gutted it out and put it back in.. it was running ok just like before i gutted it.. 2 days later it bogs down when you go to accelerate and when you shift gears.. my check engine light comes on when i drive on the interstate.. and it used to idle at around 5-600 rpms.. now it idles at around 100 rps and sometimes drops lower and turns off.. what could be causing this? could it be related to the cat or what? any help would be appreciated!

If your not getting a code, It could be lack of back pressure but im not sure, just a thought.

I ran for quite a while with a gutted cat on my d15b2, while i was putting together my new motor. Never casued a problem, ran like normal. Dont have to have cats where i live now but before in VA cops would stick a mirror under your car to see if u had a cat on. So i ran a gutted stock one, then a hi-flo one that was gutted, due to the fact he stock one only has like a 2"inch hole on the outlet. U need to check what code your throwing, could be a 02 sensor possibly. I was gonna write how to check codes but all u need to do is a quick search and u will find complete write ups with pics to guide u as well. Search function is very important here at honda-tech most things have already been discussed to death before u ever think about it or have a problem
