how much would it cost to get my clutch replace if i just took it to a locol shop and just the basic clutch put in? i think mines is going and i need to save up for a new one. 96 accord ex 4d

I had it done cheaply on a 1985 Accord and it was around $300-350 but I think THEROPE's figure ($500) is close to average.

 

my girlfriends parents got quoted $1000 on their 97 accord...

i paid 275 i think for my clutch install, at a local performance shop

 

labor should be around 250-300, if you are just getting a stock replacement clutch it shouldnt be that much.

total cost shouldnt exceed $500.

your best bet is to ask around your area. dealer are gonna rape you. look for a reputable independent shop.

depends on wat kind of mods you have on ur car, then u can decide wat kind of clutch you want, a good clutch is never cheap

 

i have no mods on the car all stock

 

then go with a stock clutch, if you bring ur car to a local shop and ask them to get you the clutch and install it, should be around 400 depend on the area
