Default launching on street tires

when everybody talks about launching they talk about slicks along with it. I was wondering what are some good techniques for launching on street tires im not a street racer im talking about at a track(weekend street legals at fontana) last time i was at the track my 60' sucked big time so i want to do better next time my tires were bald then and i got new kumos now so with a little more skill im ready to give it another shot. Thanks, any positive comments greatly appreciated and yes i tryed searching and found nothing about street tires.

at teh light ....e brake up...ease out the clutch till u feel a dip inthe rear ( this is loading the clutch) and ease off teh clutch and give it gas liek a trade off dont smash on the gas.....Feathering it and controlling your pedal to the feel of the car
hope that helps

Doing that he would definately get hosed.... you never told him to release the e-brake. I'm kidding, you gave him the best advice I could think of, learning to launch on the street makes an average car fast because so many people can't drive.

You need to just test every RPM for the best launching. Everyone has there own RPM that is best for the set-ups. 4k is a good RPM to start at and go up from there.
