Jdmcustoms too good to b true?
Has anyone order anything from Jdmcustoms.com? I was wondering because they selling their whole jdm type r clip for 1499 shipped on ebay...and that seem very suspicious? If anyone heard of them and has brought anything from them please reply. And, would wire moneytransfer to them be advice? Ty guys. Iono, but I have a feeling that this is a scam.
I've never heard of them either. Not even sure about how refunds/ fraud protection on wire transfers...so I've never used that when shopping on ebay. I usually look for paypal and at the very least a U.S. Postal Money Order. Then again...if it feels like a scam...it might be one. Have you checked out his feedback? At any rate...I always see those front ends on ebay, so if you pass this one up, no loss....I'm sure you'll find another one anyway

It's hard to say. Their website has their contact info and several email address as well as a physical address. Have you tried calling them? That would be a good first step.
It may sound silly, but you could always call them directly in regards to their ebay auction and find out why they are selling it so low. Ask them if it has any documentation or missing parts.
As for a wire transfer, I dont know about that. As far as I know, there isnt any security measures if you were to get ripped off. If you could somehow pay by CC that would be safer, since you could get your credit card company to dispute the charges if something were to go wrong. Check with your bank regarding fraud and wire transfers.

Yeah, i would just check his feedback score, see what other members have posted about the seller, and see what they say.
The item number is gone. I assume it was all sold out, but they guy I called told me that he is holding it for me until I do the wire transfer to them. Man can't decide what to do...Either buy it from ICB where it good quality, but much more expensive or go ahead and wire transfer 1500 for the whole front clip from them.

I would never do a wire transfer again. got scammed before. NEVER do a wire transfer. if that is the only thing they will take then it is most likely a scam. tell them you will pay with a CC or paypal or no deal, see what they say.
EDIT: i just looked at their website and it says they take paypal and credit card. so there is some security there. i say go for it if you pay with a CC or paypal.

Also, remember. This front clip is 900lbs+. Try to see what company they're using to ship. If it's myyellow, then you're deep **** without a crane. That company don't have a lift on their trucks, so you'll have to carry it out yourself.
I ended up throwing mine off the truck onto tires. Also, make sure they take out the fenders, hood, bumper.. etc. for you.

sure its not a fiberglass kit?
i'll sell you my all metal, non-hid jdm kit, complete for $1450 picked up.
all i am missing is the hoodlatch cable. u need a new one, cuz the usdm one is abit short.
let me know, cuz i need to get rid of it before my peeps come back from HK and see a bunch of stuff in the garage....

i dont know it looks shaddy to me dont wire any money pay him tru paypal or no deal with paypal you can insure your money so if you get gip youl get it back his feeback looks good dought but you can trus anyboby, trus me it happen to me .
The price really isn't really that dirt cheap. They probably picked up the clip for around $3500, and then yanked the motor to be sold for around $4500. It saves them time and warehouse space to just dump the rest of the parts as a package deal to someone. It'll all profit for them at this point anyway.
duh it's just $1500 because it has no drivetrain. but you do get all the interior and exterior parts, which easily add up to more than $1500 if you parted it out. they do this all the time with other cars, too. like silvias. they sell the drivetrain, then sell the empty clip to somebody who wants non-pop-up headlights. they make a LOT more money that way, and they still don't have junk parts laying around. that's why it's easier [IMO] to find a skyline front clip than just the drivetrain. if they sell you the drivetrain, they're stuck with an empty clip that nobody needs or wants. it's not because they're nice and want you to have all the little brackets and doodads.
I started my own thread on this. so check it out. and i will keep you updated.
