aznR: you ALWAYS have to have it tuned to your car. Otherwise its just like
every other generic chip out there.

Austin: same old crap. ITR program, 10000 limiter, SFC, 370cc @70psi.

Im just too busy tuning other people's cars and building stuff to tune my own car.
So sad......

True, but does Hondata supply this type of service? Cause at the time I didn't have the money to dyno tune the car, so I was hopeing to atleast be running on a generic program til I get the money to dyno tune the ecu. At first I was told that they could do it, but when I went to buy it Hondata suddenly don't have this service. So I was just wondering and ask another source, like yourself.

Yeah, I can provide you with a base map to drive around on.
It might or might not be better though as its a best guess on my part
of what i think you need. Until tuning, its all a best guess.

 

At the moment I am running JUN 3's w/ P28 chipped with an LS vtec program. It's running, but I want to be able to use the hondata and it's features.

 

You have a chipped P28, then you are halfway there.
Just need the hondata itself and have a comm port installed in your ecu
and you are ready to go.

 

Oh, I also need a com port intalled to my ecu (refering to the p28 ecu?)

When I got my Hondata it included a couple of chips and transistors, something like that...

Yeah, you dont need those since they are already installed in your ecu.
The com port should have been included with your hondata.

 

is the com port your speaking of the lil blue box. Cause there I do see a com port...

Its a small 4 pin connector.
Remember, just because its a comm port, doesnt mean its a 9 pin serial port looking thing.
