Default h22 all motor with h23 crank

what would i have to do to to put the h23 crank in my h22 with type s pistons and type s rods and would it b a good idea to do it

Unless you deck plate the block, you can't run the H22 rods.

That should of.

Run the H23 crank, H23 rods, and the Type-S pistons. The H22 rods are too long when combined with that stroke. The pistons would stick out .169" out of the hole. Not good.

i just finished one of these the other day. motor runs great, cant wait to dyno it with the type-s cams...... use h23 crank and rods.....other options like pistons are up to you

hatchy54, I think it would be a good idea for *you* to stack up 7 head gaskets and let us know how it goes...

OOPS... hehe. I ment .085" out of the hole. I forgot to divide the difference in strokes by 2 ((95mm - 90.7mm) / 2) / 25.4 = .085"
Thats still a little less than 3 times the thickness of the head gasket though.
